Review: West Midland Safari Park

West Midland Safari Park completely surpassed our expectations today, we had such a brilliant time! The Park in Worcestershire is home to a four mile long drive-through safari which was the highlight for us. Many of the animals on the safari are free to roam right up to your car and they do! We were feeding giraffes through the window, had rhino’s in touching distance of our car and lions walking next to us.

This isn’t all that’s at West Midland Safari Park though. You’ll also find the largest animatronic dinosaur exhibit in the UK, a theme park and many more animals to see and feed on foot.

Pony Riding at Ruislip Park Stables

Ashley is completely horse mad! So when I saw that Ruislip Park Stables took children from as young as 1 on their pony rides I couldn’t wait to take her. They have some lovey small ponies that they use for toddlers and take them on a guided walk, which you accompany them on, through the woods.

South Bucks Way

This section of the South Bucks Way is every horse lovers dream as there are horses along almost the entire route. In parts you are walking in the same field as the horses and right past their feeding stations so often end up very close to them.

Widmer End Monster Zoo

*THIS HAS NOW CLOSED PERMANENTLY**

The monsters of Widmer End have relocated and found a new home at the Monster Zoo. Local farmer AJ has given the monsters a home at the forest school on his land. You’ll find over 70 monsters in the Monster Zoo, with new additions being added all the time. Plus there’s an added bonus of them being next to a field of pigs with some gorgeous little piglets.
