Leavesden Country Park is one of the best completely free days out you can have with your little ones. Not only is the park free to visit but even the parking is free! There are loads of amazing playgrounds dotted all around the park, it’s very buggy friendly and there’s also a fun heritage trail. Read my article on Leavesden Country Park for Families Chiltern Magazine here.
Buggy Friendly Walks
In January’s edition of Families Chiltern magazine I wrote an article sharing my favourite buggy friendly walks. I put together 13 walks in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. You can view the article here.
Langley Park
Langley Park in Iver is one of the Buckinghamshire’s Country Parks and a beautiful place to go for a walk. From late March/April through to June the Temple Gardens are filled with colourful rhododendrons. Walking through the gardens at this time is stunning and you can see all the way down to Windsor Castle.
Burnham Beeches
Burnham Beeches is one of my favourite buggy friendly walks. The ancient woodlands are beautiful and there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained along the way too. Some of the trees at Burnham Beeches are several hundred years old!
Wellington Country Park
WOW! This place is amazing! We had the best time at Wellington Country Park and loved it so much we went twice in one week! There is so much to do for children of every age including a farm, splash park, loads of playgrounds, jumping pillows, a miniature railway, a dinosaur trail and more. The whole park is very scenic and is centred around a big lake in the middle.
Fun Days Out With Kids In And Around Bucks This August
As more places are starting to open up I thought it would be useful to share some ideas for places to visit this August in Bucks and surrounding areas.
Ray Mill Island
Ray Mill Island in Maidenhead was such a great discovery at the weekend and one we had no idea was there! The island is a great place to spend an afternoon, enjoy a picnic and let your little ones play and make new friends with the guinea pigs and birds.
The Savill Garden
The Savill Garden features some of the best ornamental gardens and exotic woodlands in the UK and has recently reopened it’s gates. Located within Windsor Great Park it is a beautiful place to explore with your little ones.
