Leavesden Country Park is one of the best completely free days out you can have with your little ones. Not only is the park free to visit but even the parking is free! There are loads of amazing playgrounds dotted all around the park, it’s very buggy friendly and there’s also a fun heritage trail. It’s easy to miss some of the playgrounds in the south end of the park as you have to cross over two roads to get there, but make sure you don’t miss out as they are great! This is where the sandpit playground is, plus a zip line and a cluster of other playgrounds.

The cafe has changed owners and had a refurbishment, it looks great inside. Click here to view the menu. There is no kids menu so it’s worth checking if you’re little one will eat something from the main menu. Otherwise take them a packed lunch.
