We visited The Patch MK last week for their pre-launch event and had the best time! Not only do they have an enormous pumpkin field full of every shape, size and colour pumpkin you can think of, but there’s also loads of fun play areas for your little ones. Plus it’s an Instagrammers dream with some amazing photo scenes including a pumpkin house!
The Pumpkin Patch
The patch is huge and filled with a wide range of pumpkins from your traditional orange pumpkins, white ones, green ones, stripy ones, you get the idea! There are wheelbarrows (£1 cash deposit) for you to borrow and these are sanitised in between every use.
There’s a raised lookout point over the patch for you to get some great photos and pick your spot!
Play Time
They’ve made sure The Patch MK is a really fun day out for your little ones, as lets be honest the novelty of picking pumpkins doesn’t last long for toddlers. Ashley absolutely loved all the play areas, in particular the bale mountain which she spent ages running round and the bale maze. They also have a tractor for them to climb on and ‘drive’ and a barrel train ride (additional charge of £2.50 cash). The new attraction this year is a trailer with a couple of slides and a climbing wall, which she loved too.
Perfect Pumpkin Photos at The Patch MK
They’ve set up some amazing photo scenes which include PUMPKIN in giant letters, an incredible pumpkin house surrounded by pumpkins and a couple of face-in-hole photo boards.
Food and Drink
They have a bbq serving bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast and giant hot dogs or smoked jackfruit for lunch. Alternatively you can try their own pumpkin soup, which was really tasty or grab a cake and hot drink.
Best bits: I loved all the fun play areas they had for the kids which made it so much better than just pumpkin picking. Obviously the pumpkin house was also an absolute winner for getting those ‘Insta shots’.
Worst bits: For me the only downside was the distance as it was an hours drive from me. However we spent over 2 hours there having fun so it was worth it!
