Basildon Park is a beautiful National Trust property in Berkshire, near Reading. On first glance you might think there’s not much for the kids here, but let me show you what we discovered! When you first arrive there are a couple of ball trails near the entrance which the kids loved! But if you head up the hill to the woods there is a much bigger play trail to discover. They no longer advertise it because it isn’t maintained. It used to be called the Wild Play Trail and several parts of it still remain.
Christmas with the kids in and around Bucks
I think we can all agree that 2020 is a year we can’t wait to see the back of, but to help you try and end the year having fun I’ve put together a huge list of Christmassy things for you to do with your little ones. These range from big Christmas days out and magical illuminations to popping in to see Santa in your local grotto. Hopefully there’s something here for everyone and activities for all budgets.
Grey’s Court
This was our first visit to Grey’s Court and even though a number of areas were closed we enjoyed a lovely few hours there and found it very toddler friendly. Anywhere with baby lambs and calves gets her vote of approval and I really enjoyed the beautiful views and how peaceful and quiet it was.
