Brasserie Blanc in Beaconsfield is one of our favourite local restaurants for a family friendly meal. We love going out for dinner as a family but it’s really only fun if we get the restaurant right! With Ashley being a mega fussy eater a good kids menu is always a priority. There are lots of other things that Brasserie Blanc do to keep you little ones happy too.
The Restaurant
If you’ve not been to Brasserie Blanc in Beaconsfield before it’s in the old town. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and always has a great busy atmosphere. There’s also a lovely outside area which we really enjoy during the summer.
There’s lots of space in the restaurant and they are very accommodating if you have buggies! I’ve been there for lunch with NCT friends previously and they’ve managed to find us a table with enough space for several buggies around it.
The Food
I love the menu at Brasserie Blanc because it always has such a great variety of dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for a tasty salad, a hearty boeuf bourguignon, a seriously good steak or something fancy like roasted halibut with champagne sauce, they have you covered. Here are the menus.
I chose the Moroccan Mezze Platter to start, followed by the Malabar Fish Curry with Toasted Coconut. Both were incredibly tasty and full of flavour. I’ve actually had the fish curry at least twice now and absolutely love it.
My husband went for the Baked Saint-Marcellin cheese with bread and the fillet steak an really enjoyed both. The fillet steak I tried too and it was cooked to perfection.
We’ve eaten here several times before and always loved the food. The Sunday Roast is really worth a try here too as it’s different to what you’ll get anywhere else. For example the roast beef also comes with a mini cottage pie!
What’s There for Kids?
On arrival they’re given a pack of crayons and a menu which they can colour in and play games on.
They have a great kids menu here with choices that should suit even the fussiest of eaters (Ashley being one!). It’s a set menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. The starter is a Mezze where they can choose 3 from the following: flatbread, falafel, hummus, guacamole, carrot & cucumber sticks, cherry tomato salad.
For the main Ashley had the pasta which comes as a bowl of plain pasta (I told you it was good for mega fussy eaters!) and pots of tomato sauce and grated cheese on the side. Ashley really enjoys the novelty of it all coming separately and it not only means she eats it but it also keeps her entertained.
They have high chairs if you need them, space for buggies as I’ve mentioned and baby change facilities.
I really recommend a visit, whether it’s with your little ones, a night out with friends or a date night. It works perfectly for all of these.
